Middle Rio Grande Water Assembly

home

The Water Assembly developed the Regional Water Plan for Sandoval, Bernalillo, and Valencia counties in New Mexico, USA, through an open public and technical process.

In 2004, the plan was accepted by the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission and all of the 19 local governments in the region.

The plan shows that annual water consumption in the region has averaged 15% to 20% beyond the renewable supply.

We need your help to ensure that the water plan is implemented fully and effectively. Contact us to find out how.

The Water Assembly is a diverse, all-volunteer, non-profit grassroots organization devoted to open, inclusive, and participatory processes.
